Har Mar Superstar
Okay, Har Mar, can you tell me
a bit about your new album, how long it took you and how it differs from your other work?
Erm, let’s see… well this album is like a couple years in the making and it’s not going to come out ‘til the fall. But I
don’t know, it’s a little more poppy, it’s still the old Har Mar stuff, it’s kind of a mix between You Can Feel Me and The Handler. It’s got more pop production but it’s kinda got the spirit and the
electro vibe of earlier stuff
What’s the inspiration behind this one? Why did you make it?
Well I was writing songs for a bunch of people, and I was just excited to get out and tour again and play a bunch of new
songs… so yeah, I mean, it’s no fun to go on tour and play the same songs over and over again.
No it’s not. Do you enjoy touring a lot?
Yeah I do, it’s one of my favourite things to do. Touring is like so fun, it’s good to be able to go see everyone
everywhere
What do you think of girls with guitars?
I love girls with guitars. I think it’s like, y’know, classically one of the hottest things that could happen. And I think
girls with guitars love me as well.
If you could have a film made about your life, what genre would it
be?
Erm, straight kinda like horror porn probably. It would probably not be depressing,
What would the soundtrack be?
Obviously I would want to use a lot of my own…
Why do you make music?
I make music because it is fun and it’s a party and it’s a reason to get together with people and make something awesome
happen y’know. And it’s always fun to go home at the end of the day and hear what you did y’know?
